It's August!

Shelley and I are on Maui for our Mysore On Maui month, and the mornings are alive with breath, focus, and laughter. I’m teaching yoga daily, and the room keeps reminding me how yoga practice can feel both steady and brand-new at the same time. Students are thriving, exploring alignment, and finding a rhythm that makes exercise and yoga feel natural, sustainable, and genuinely joyful.

What We’re Exploring Each Morning

We start simply: breath, drishti, and clear sequencing. From there, we refine transitions, personalize modifications, and let curiosity lead the way. In this setting, teaching yoga becomes a conversation, demonstration, attentive listening, and small adjustments that unlock big insights. When people realize that exercise and yoga can be both structured and deeply humane, the whole room softens and opens.

Why This Space Matters

We’re practicing where Nancy Gilgoff taught for decades, and that history is felt in the floors, the air, and the quiet moments between poses. Lineage doesn’t weigh us down; it holds us up. It’s a reminder that teaching yoga is not performance, it’s service, and that consistent, caring attention can turn everyday exercise and yoga into a pathway for resilience.

Book News & Early Access

I’m excited to share that my new book is nearly ready to be released. If you’d like the earliest details - pre-release dates, bonuses, and launch yoga events, sign up HERE to receive notifications. The book braids stories from the road with practice maps you can use right away, translating the spirit of exercise and yoga into daily life.

See You Out There

If you’re on island time, drop by for a morning; if not, carry a few quiet breaths into the rest of your summer. May your steps be light, your focus kind, and your practice close at hand.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
